Nordiwood manufactures the first industrial-grade ice bath priced for reality: €2,995, hand-built from AISI 304 (18/10) surgical-grade stainless steel at our facility in Malaga, Andalusia, Spain. We build machines, not toys. We ship factory-direct across the European Union — no middlemen, no dropshipping, no plastic.
Every other ice bath on the market is plastic, fibreglass, or inflatable. Plastic surfaces are microscopically porous — bacteria grip the surface and form biofilm regardless of how often you clean. AISI 304 surgical-grade stainless steel is the same material used in commercial kitchens, breweries, and hospital surgical instruments. It is non-porous at the molecular level. Bacteria cannot anchor. Biofilm cannot form. Maintenance is a wipe, not a scrub.
Standard ice bath chillers are 0.5 kW to 1 kW units designed for cool northern European garages. They cannot hold 3°C when the ambient temperature hits 35°C+ in southern Europe. Nordiwood ships two industrial-grade engines — both engineered and stress-tested in the heat of Malaga, Andalusia. The CORE 3 kW engine cools a full 350 L tank from 20°C to 3°C in 4–6 hours. The PRO 5 kW engine, built specifically for Spain, Portugal, Italy, and the South of France, hits target temperature in 2–3 hours and holds it through any summer.
Premium ice bath brands charge €6,000 to €12,000 for the same materials we use, because their margin pays for distributors, retailers, and showrooms. Nordiwood sells direct from the factory floor in Malaga to your door. Same surgical-grade steel. Same industrial chiller spec. Half the price. We do not build a thousand units a month. We build machines that last decades.
Filter cartridges are open-source standard "Type A" — available at any pool store, Decathlon, or Amazon. No proprietary parts. No subscriptions. No vendor lock-in. Filter changes happen externally on dry land in 10 seconds — never reach into 3°C water.
